About Scioto Country Club
Scioto Country Club from its inception has always been an important part of the history of Upper Arlington and the city of Columbus. Opening in 1916 as a centerpiece of Upper Arlington, the Club is the focal point of a community that is one of the finest in the country. As James Hamill, one of the founding members stated at the Club’s opening, "Our Club, in time, will become one of the most important social centers of the community, and will constitute one of the show places of the city”. I enjoyed the well designed and manicured course. The smash burgers were spectacular and worthy of a special visit just for them.

Nice course but a little confused on the crosswalks. Once you seen it and understand it, it's not bad.

I had the chance to go to Scioto Country Club and absolutely loved it. The facility was extremely accessible, including a ramp, signs directing to different parts of the area, and very friendly staff that were eager to help! There was room to move around for individuals in wheelchairs. Exits and emergency exits were very visible and easy to understand and read. There was accessible seating that could be adjusted to those who need it.

Facilities range from great to needing remodeling. Treatment can be 1st class to condescending. It may be the most desired club in the Columbus area, the one with the most history and contacts, but it is not to the level of the clubs it compares itself. The tennis courts are a disaster except for two which are okay. The pickleball courts receive more attention. Odd, given the number of State Champion tennis players that developed their talents on these courts. Not interested in joining the club!

Scioto Country club is not just great, it's outstanding. The golf course is impeccably maintained with challenging yet fair layout, pristine fairways, and fast greens. Staff are friendly and attentive, facilities top-notch including clubhouse and dining. Highly recommend for a premium experience - 5-Star experience.
